Block Island - Flight with Jim, Mike and Eva

June 6, 1999. Jim invited Eva and me on a flight with his cousin Mike, who has a pilot licence. We flew from Groton Airport to Block Island, stayed there for 2 hours and continued to Foxwood Casinos, to UCONN and back to Groton.

Mike let me fly the plane. It's easy to fly the machine while you're up there (and have a real pilot next to you!). The really difficult part is take-off and landing.

This was on our stop where we walked around on block island and had lunch. Block island is very popular in summer.

This shows part of the campus at Storrs. In the lower right corner is Route 195, swan lake with the new chemistry building (grey roof). In the lower left corner you see the library.

This is at Groton Airport as we land again.

That's the flight team: me, Mike and Jim. Eva was taking the picuture.
