San Francisco
This easy going city, that still has the free spirit of the seventies was one of the
unforgettable places on our trip. We stayed for three nights and had the wonderful
opportunity to stay at Dorothy's place, who we had two really nice dinners with. Dorothy
& Cliff, thanks a lot, it's been a great time with you!

| Downtown San Francisco with the unique Transamerica Pyramid. |
 |
| Piers, the bay bridge and Oakland on the other side of the bay. Looking
from Coit Tower. |
 |
| Lombard Street with the "wiggly" road. |
 |
| The pictures above were taken from Coit Tower, which is a good place to
get a great overview over San Francisco. The elevator scares the hell out of you and seems
to have survived all earthquakes unchanged. |
 |
| Steep hills and Cable Cars, that's what the city is known for worldwide. |
 |
| Eva on Pier 39 - a.k.a. Fisherman's Wharf - where she gets her name
written by an asian artist. For $1.85 a letter she got away quite cheap with her 3 letter
name. ;) |
 |
| Chessplayers on the sidewalk. |
 |
| Eva at Union Square. |
 |
| The two of us before walking across THE bridge. |
 |
| As we walked all across the Golden Gate Bridge the sun disappeared behind
clouds from the pacifc. Although glossy blue-sky postcards tell a different story, this is
a very common image of the bridge. |
 |
| This is Lombard Street between Hyde and Leavenworth, the "crookedest
street of the world". Of course, we drove on it. :-) |
